Futon
I wont say too much, but i should have posted this up a long time ago. One of the proudest moments in my life when this was finnished, it was a great way to graduate, and leave a standerd at my school for fellow students to aim for. I completed a 19,000 word folio for this project.
Plans are from the Australian Woodsmith magizine. Project was started on the 16/06/09 and was finnished in late novemember, i was marked on 9 different criteria for the year, and i recieved 6 marks (5A) that meant my standered were acceptable to entry to the industry standard, and the remaining 3 where one grade lower (5B). In turn i recieved the 2009 Academic Award in Vocational and Applied Learning Wood. Total cost of project was around $600. The mattress was professionaly made, although i got to select material/ pattern.
I can't find pictures of finnished product on my hardrive, but they are some available of the nearly complete product at the end of the PDF. I will take some of finnished product and put them up.
EDIT: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1525418701 finnished product =)
EDIT 2: photo quality from facebook photo is bad, can see where steel wool has been, in the good photos, its all shiny etc
