Here's one I prepared earlier.
About 25 years ago actually, its the first rocking horse I made, for our kids while they were still cute. It has been on the mezzanine in the shed for the last 15 years and was showing signs of its age as well as being covered in dust. The ironbark stand has certainly darkened with age but the oregon horse has mellowed nicely. I'll get some cows tails the next time I visit the abs and make up some brass swingiron brachets too. The saddle and stirrups need a bit of work as well, but I think there's plenty of time before I have to worry about GK's using it.

Beautiful......a Rocking Horse was always on the To Do list but other things got in the way. Your grandkids, if and when they arrive will love it!
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
