HSC Major work
Hey guys I just completed my HSC Major, i made a reading lounge for it, pretty unique and I quite like it but there would probably be a variety of opinions over it. Anyway, its made entirely from recycled timber, it is laminate bent, and joints are; dominoed mitres, half blind dovetails and normal ones both hand cut, biscuit widening joints. Halving joints and what i call 'Fat Finger' joints, both cut but a router jig. The finish is pure tung oil mixed with cirtic terpene 50:50. Im really happy with the result, and yes it is comfortable any comments or criticism welcome!

I find it's all too tempting at my age to be critical of the younger generation.
But I see the wonderful HSC projects shown here in this forum and it fills me with a renewed confidence that the world will be in good hands after all.
Charlie, you've done a wonderful job and I hope you continue to learn and grow and complete many more pieces in the years to come.
I particularly like the idea of documenting the work on YouTube. And your taste in music is as good as your taste in furniture design.
Well done mate! I dips me lid to you.
JimBeing happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections....
