    Default Laminating Glue Advice

    Hi folks

I'm building a table for one of my children that will sit on a verandah with a roof, but with sides open to the elements. I'm planning on laminating some recycled hardwood floorboards that I'm currently cleaning up and dressing for the top.

I need some advice on the best choice of glue for this situation. A quick scan of the forum seemed to suggest Titebon 2 or a 2 part epoxy but a number of these posts were a few years old and not having attempted a job like this before I wasn't sure whether or not there had been any new developments that were worth checking out.

    Thanks
    Michael

Nup, no new developments. You can use the epoxy as a wood filler too.

Or Tightbond 3 would be a good choice for outside.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys. Looks like the epoxy and Titebond options remain the preferred choices.

Any particular preference you would suggest with the epoxy systems.

    Thanks
    Michael

Just noticed your location Michael, I have Titebond II, Titebond 3 and Bote-cote epoxy here if you want to try something out on a test piece. Although the Bote-cote is a surface treatment resin rather than a glue and you need to add a filler to use it as a glue. I think. It's a while since I've used it.
The Titebond is significantly less messy.

    Default Titebond

That's very kind of you. I think I'm steering toward the Titebond option. I've used Titebond III on a music project and it worked very well.

Were you in the police force? Be there or else?
