Thanks for all the great comments guys, I have another couple of commissions and then I may do a smaller variation of the leaf (another shape) but similar timber, copper combination. Combineing metal, timber and other mediums is interesting and a lot of fun.

I'm about over it after spending about 3 hours wrapping it in mdf cardboard bubble wrap etc and 4 rolls of tape, I'm movin on. I have ordered some more copper so I can do another smaller one in a month or so. I will be able to do a better job the second time round, first one of anything is always tricky. In the mean time I will start my next WIP, large bookself/wallunit thing, style, modern tree house. Some straight edges and a few natural edges etc here and there. Should be fun too but the clients are in Germany at the moment so makes it a bit tricky to run things by. All in a days fun

As usual CH, you've done an outstanding job but one thing that intrigued me with this one, even thought I know it's flat, the shape of it makes it appears to a have a curve to it, exactly like a leaf in nature.
    Cheers

Hi DJ, yes had a few funny illusions happening with this one, the dark to light timbers seemed/looked to throw things out too. In real life it all looks nice and flat now but not an easy thing to photograph.

Springy, thats a technikal term I'll have you know "thing"
