Default Loft Cubby for the Kids

My darling wife recently decided the kids need a cubby house and set out looking for one on eBay to buy second hand, she set a budget of $300 at which point I instantly gave up all hope of building one.
Long story short we bought one for $265 brought it home and assembled it and it was a piece of junk, I forbade my children to play on it and commissioned it's resale on eBay and we got back what we paid to the cent less the $60 I spent on fixings.
I took charge and advised the minister of finance that she was approving the spend to build a new one and set off buying and building.
Here are the results - it's all treated pine, I'd have rather used hardwood but funds prohibited, all up cost was $550 and the slippery dip was a bonus from the previous cubby:

Hi MM (Alex?) good to see you again How's the family growing I see.

I'd be more worried about them swinging off the gutter and down pipe, maybe a bit of foam wrapped round sharp corners will stop head bang damage.

    Looks good
The down pipe seems to be far enough away from the structure to not cause any problems.

mmm there's already been a few downpipe incidents...

I think the foam padding might be a necessity

Nevermind the down pipe... they'll be on the roof in no time. Great cubby though!
