That turned out really well Scott.
Like I said to you, rocking chairs don't really do it for me but I can still apreciate a very good piece of work.
Well done mate.
(Amazing what you can do with a Triton router eh? )

Excellent work Wongo. The Sydney Blue Gum comes up great under an oil finish.
If I do not clearly express what I mean, it is either for the reason that having no conversational powers, I cannot express what I mean, or that having no meaning, I do not mean what I fail to express. Which, to the best of my belief, is not the case.

Wongo - I'm about to order some Blackwood for The Rocker - what's a rough cutting list? THe seat is 2" (8/4) and I think his back legs are 2 1/4? The back is from 2 1/2 I think.
SM uses a different mix fo rthe final coats - are you going to bother with this? The only way to get rid of a [Domino] temptation is to yield to it. Oscar Wilde

TK,
The one I used was 3.3cm thick. I had to make changes in different places though. But yes, get the 2” if you can. I would like to know how much it costs you.
I am thinking of a new design at the moment. I will have a break and have another go. We’ll see.
The final 2 coats are a mix of tung oil, linseed oil and wax but I will just use Ubeaut wax.
Let me know if you need anything.

I went to see BobR today and WOW Bob is a professional.
These images come from my no-brain digital camera and they still look fantastic. I can’t wait to see the real thing.

With pictures like that, you can now charge $5000 for that chair
