    Default Maloof rocker

This is my second attempt at a rocking chair. The first for a Sam Maloof style rocker. The wood is black walnut with hard maple as the accent pieces. It was not an easy build for me. I'm not an "advanced" woodworker. I do most of my work with hand tools so this was quite the challenge. I messed up one of the legs and had to do it over. Very frustrating but eventually I got it done. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment but I'm going to do two more. Both will go to charities for their fund raising auctions.

A friend of mine is a pretty good amateur photographer so he came over to my place and took a bunch of pictures. If you want to see them go to the link below. Any image you want to see just click on the picture and when it opens click on it again to see the full size image. Constructive criticism encouraged (I mean it). That's one way I learn. Thanks.

It is beautiful, and it is a challenge for any woodworker so well done.

    Beautiful work.

Did you get plans to make the chair? If yes, where'd you get them from?

    Regards,

    Adam

Yes, I used the Charles Brock videos and book. It wasn't cheap ($80?) but very instructive.

Yeah, I know you're slinging fecal material. I like someone who has a good sense of humor laced with sarcasm. Makes me smile. Thanks.
