    Default Dry fit up

Here is what the structure looks like on the cart. Just need to glue and pin, then tack on the marine ply roof.

    Swifty,

Your cart reminds me of street vendors in the early 50's who would sell ice-cream from similar carts during the summer along the shores of the lake in Geneva. The cart was somehow hooked to the front of a bicycle. Theirs had a number of lidded tubs for the several flavours they had to offer. In those days, an ice-cream was a real Sunday treat !!!

On a more practical note, did you need to insulate the platform on which your gas burner is sitting on? I have just purchased a dedicated wok gas burner to be mounted on a cart for outdoor use and I am thinking that the reflected heat from the bottom of the wok could be hot enough to ignite the shell under it!

    Cheers

I found that the 4mm plywood roof needs a bit more support, so I had to add some angled blocks along the ridge board and also along the plates. Now it works a charm. Working on the Danish oil finish now, the end is in sight!

I've got one of those butane cookers that take the small cans. It is quite safe as the canister is protected under the cover. See the picture below, min is similar. It sits on its own little stool inside the cart, as seen in one of the earlier pictures above.
