Media Unit
Photo of a media unit I recently completed attached. I used recycled messmate which gave me a few unexpected headaches with tearout whilst planing - always keen to hear tips or recommendations as I'm still getting used to Australian woods (I'm yet another pom ). First time building tambour doors which was fun and turned out pretty well although there is some unevenness as the wood moved a bit post thicknessing. Most of the joinery was relatively simple (mitred corners for the main carcass, stopped dados for the dividers and bridle joints for the legs) but a great learning experience and I'd be grateful for any feedback.
Cheers, James

Great work! I've sketched something quite similar to this but don't have the skills (or time) to start on it just yet. The doors are a nice touch - always good to learn something with each project.
