    Default Outdoor cabinets

    Hi all. I am looking to build some outdoor cabinets for my alfresco. They will occasionally get wet but not drenched. Can anyone recommend what material I should use and maybe where to get it? I've considered marine ply but am concerned the doors may warp. The photo is an example of what I am trying to achieve. Thanks.

    Will they have sun hitting them?

    If they're in the sun it will be hard on any wood meaning you'll need constant re-treatment as with wooden decks. You may also want a wood you can easily replace. I'd go with marine ply. It gets damaged or dented you can source standard thicknesses and cut to size fairly readily.

    That's a good point. Something replaceable would at least provide piece of mind. Not much sun will hit them which is a bonus.

    form ply top and melamine wrapped cupboards.

    the shower cubicles our work installed are actually some form of melamine, and thats for a shower cubicle. there's even this statement on the website for that kitchen.

    "All carcass unit are made from 16mm V-lite PVC material with extreme water resistance. All doors, drawers, infills panels and kickers are made from 13mm Multi-purpose Compact Laminate."
