Paid woodworking help needed
Good evening, I am new to the forum and to woodworking. I am a design student at QCA in Brisbane and am looking for someone who has skill in woodworking to help me with the fabrication of some laminated timber panels which will be made into an exhibition display for a design exhibition in Melbourne in July. The work will be paid and I am happy explain the project further and negotiate payment. Someone who has a background in cabinet or furniture making or an interest in woodworking would be ideal.
I have worked with a local furniture designer maker to come up with the manufacture process and make jigs for cutting the timber on a sliding table saw, however I am still new to woodworking and will not have the time or skill to complete the project by July.
I am making the stand from short length hardwood floorboard off cuts and will need someone to square up the offcuts, cut into strips on the sliding table saw and laminate together. If you also have access to a thicknesser it would be ideal, however, this is negotiable as I have access to this in the university workshop so could do some of this work myself.
As the production process will be time consuming, I am needing to get started on the project as soon as possible. Please contact me for more details and to arrange a meeting to discuss the project if you are interested.
kind regards, Alisa
