Brrr. You can keep that. I went fishing, or tried fishing in the channel there once, didn't work out with the current like it is.

Shots there are showing some real nice progress.
I make things, I just take a long time.

You are nuts Mark. Freezing would be a better description.

hey, you two be careful around this post the ink is still wet on those photos!!
I often see and play with the squid, ockies etc I only dive so I can see what I'll eat next
. The current can be a little tricky but I have dived the bridge (being my home dive) approx 130 times so its just extra fun now. I usualy pick up about a 20ltr drum full of sinkers per year not to mention lures, fishing rods, boat anchors and all manor of other things from fishermen etc. Sinker hunting is part of the fun. Got $60 for one old hand made bottle I picked up.
Tomorrow, after snap freezing myself, the photos should look a lot better once I get them all together. I want to try and deliver them Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Hey CH, thanks for the pics!
Where abouts did you get the runners from?
And what other method/s did you consider for the runners? I'm trying to get ideas for future projects.

    Hi Andy
I have used these runners before and are the best design, they are rated at something like 40kgs they don't jump of their rails are easy to install. You can buy them at Bunnies (about $30 for a pair) but I get mine from Dukesmith agaencies in Newcastle for about $15 for a pair. They will do mail out if you want (Dave or Ray depends what day of the week). For serviceability they are great, looks arn't so hot. For looks you would just do old school timber on timber. You can mount these underneath on there flat but the idea doesn't appeal to me (you wouldn't see them then but the strength would be low)
OK off to the river to through myself in

Ahh back and dry, put the wety on before I left home took some hot chocy and a 5 ltr coolie bottle of hot water to have a hot shower when I got out. Warm as toast. Washed the gear so now a cuppa and back to work.
Yep the colour in this timber is just fantastic, will get some daylight shots to show the real thing.

Would love to come for a dive with you one day. When the weather warms up a bit maybe. And the water temp rises by about 20 deg

    Looks very nice.

I guess I should say something about the scuba and ask for my sinkers back. But alas that is not where I fish from. I could blame the current from Sydney took them up the coast.

Ok Christos photo of the days haul of sinkers only a moderate size haul today, along with a nice dive knife and a good B51 golf ball.
Got the second coat of oil on everything, shelf pins in, drawers in so realy just the drawer fronts to go tomorrow and maybe one more coat of Danish.

Andy its just Danish oil (Maloof mix with added terabine to speed it up) put one coat on leave for a while 30min rub it all off. Let dry for a day or two and do it again. You can either sand between coats or as I said I apply the second coat using a potscrubber (0000 synthetic steel wool) leave for 10 - 30 min and rub off again. As I now have a bit of time upmy sleave I might put a third coat on.
Four coats would be better but 2-3 usually does.
