How relatively easy making a Cabriole Leg was!
A big big thank you for John in assisting me to make this, my first cabriole leg. I was daunted initially by the task but with guidance and assurance from John I was able to complete the leg. I am now able to start my journey into fine furniture knowing how to make one!
Thanks again John

If that's the start of your journey into cabinetry, it sounds like you're in good hands.
Is that a one-off practice piece or do you have a plan in mind for which that is the start?
Even if it's just a practice piece, it'd be good to make a mirrored duplicate. Both to get the extra practice in and with at least two legs you could poassibly incorporate them into some future project, instead of having one cabriolet leg stowed away somewhere on a memorabilia shelf.

Well done Tony!
Great to see yet another woodie making cabriole legs.
And it has a slipper foot, for which I am a bit kinky.

It is just a start and I agree that it would be beneficial to make more than one. I plan to make a complete set in the near future.

I think that for most woodies, the secret is making the first leg so the process is demystified.
Cabriole legs are much easier to make that most of us think. Of course, it tends to be a bit slow in the beginning, but those who start will soon get the hang of things.
