resurrect old post
Hi all, I have been a bit slack in keeping my ( a cabinet or two) thread going I'm in the finish straight so went to post after writing some blurb and pics but it's now too old, 102 days!!! I think I'll have to pinch Waldo's signiture (I make things....)
Is an old post able to be resurrected? or do I start another one?
Pete

You can still post a reply. Its just that to make sure people really do want to do that, 'cause we used to get silly debates saying 'this thread is [x] months old and we've all moved on from there",
There is a blurb at the bottom of the reply window and you have to mark the check box that you understand that the thread is old and you do want to resurrect it. If you do that, it will happen in the usual way.Cheers

I think the problem is the tick this box option is not obvious. If I recall correctly it doesn't necessarily even show up on the compose reply window unless you know to scroll to the bottom and look for it. I for one rarely read any of the guff and decoration around the specific windows I'm working in.
Making it a pop up style 'are you sure you want to do this' dialog would probably solve this recurring question, however it's probably not an easy change to make.

Thanks Fuzz and jmk, a pop up box would have been good before I wrote all my blurb then lost it oh well, I'll just tick the box and go from here,
