Finished the box off today, the inside has been fitted out and the handles fixed

Mrs Phil wants me to strip it out so she can use it inside the house.

I haven't decided on the finish yet a clear finish or Milk paint

Should I send the pictures to Ryobi and tell them to supply decent boxes

I'm glad you restuck the handles!

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Worked out the cost of the box based on an hourly rate and the time spent making it i reckon the box would be worth $900.00 and the Ryobi was worth $420.00 I think so that makes it in total worth $1320.00, should look good sitting on the front lawn when I am pruning the garden. Don't have to worry about anyone knocking it off it is too heavy.

Some one else said that but it is too short, I had been thinking of making my own coffin later and I could put a tool rack in it, take my favourite tools with me so I would have something to do in the afterlife.

The reason of owning some fine tools is to also pass this on to the next generation. Also should mention tools already supplied in heaven.

Default Schwarz Inspired Chain Saw Box Finished

After losing the discussion about what will go in the box and where it will live, I applied the finish today, two coats 1/4lb cut Garnet Shellac and two coats of wax.

My wife says "it's beautiful and belongs inside". You've done a great job. Now all you need to do is build a box for your chainsaw.

Guess you have to make a new box for your chainsaw then?

How are us "young blokes" meant to know any better than what we've been taught, you should be having a go at the blokes who taught us what we know (or lack there of)
