    Default A Simple Planter Stand

My first post in this area, so not sure if this is big enough to qualify for here or not. Anyhoo here goes.
I have made this for my sister as a surprise gift. She is always doing me favours so this is a little way of saying thanks.
Pretty simple really - three legs and a couple of spots for potted plants.
I modelled it after one that I saw once. The original had four legs but when I gave it some thought, three looked better.
    Cheers

    Hi Scribbly,

That's really elegant, the shapes are all very nice. Not really 'simple'!

    Well done.

    Nathan.

    Thanks for the comments fellas.
Peter, I simply used old fashioned wood screws to fix to the legs. These are countersunk. This is how the original was built all those years ago, so I copied it. I even used the old style flat slotted steel screws.
There was a lot of hand tool work in this. I might see if I can arrange a pic of the tools I used, just out of interest - perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks CH, old tools are a hobby but I do actually make things with them from time to time. I don't usually list them on the forum, I have only just finished this one and I will be giving it to my sister on Thursday so I thought maybe I'd better record it somewhere.
    So here we are.

    This was fun to make.
