Slab tables with slab legs
Hi All,
Looking for advise on how to make slab tables with slab legs. Many i see pics of look like they have no bracing - thats the look I'd like to acheive.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Try joining the legs in a v shape > < then rout out a rebate in the underside of the slab, and glue the legs in, just work out the angle you want the legs at, looks good and works fine.

Good suggestion dhubilant. I did a similar thing on my natural edge slad coffee table
I built it some years ago from King Billy Pine. However, I used a variation of your suggestion.
I morticed 2 pieces of thick formply to take the pieces of slab for the legs. I left about 12mm of timber in the bottom of the mortices.
The legs were screwed and glued into the mortice and then the ply with legs attached were screwed to the underside of the slab.
Worked a treat I used Sachy-- Robertson screws but any good parallel thread screws would do.
