OSMO the product is called. No affiliation by the way. Google is your friend.
Not cheap, but does go a long way. Work is required to get a great finish. You really do use a tiny amount on the tips of the brush and brush it out well. Each side of each bed rail was brushed out of about 20 - 25 minutes to get this result.

Half the slats installed. It seems the supplier of the slats and pockets only supplied half the pins required. Human mistake I guess. However, they are now on the way and should not interfere with the proposed delivery date.

Thanks Wongo. I'm trying to arrange a room / studio so I can take some decent photos of it before i deliver. Mattress, pressed linen and a naked lady.

Thanks Arthur
I may have been a little reserved but the important thing is the customers reaction. That said, when she saw the bed she was overjoyed to say the least!!! Woo Hoo!!!
Certainly the most technically difficult piece I have done so far. I am soon though going to push the boundaries a little further by making a pair of bedsides which will have tambour doors and the front legs of these will follow the contours of the footboard legs, so, the tambours will be curved to match the legs and roll left / right dependent on handing.
Prototyping is to begin this weekend, but may take a couple of weeks before I have something to show on here. I shall start a new thread when I do.
Also, on another positive note, It seems that i may well have another order for this bed.
Cheers
