Wonderful stuff again Craw A Par de deux you may say if you were French that is, a dance for two lasting for ever will do
Bugger I just remembered I left a couple of rusty old garage springs hanging up in my at my last shed. Definitely a violation of the code of you never know when It'll come in handy...or footy as the case may be

Another great success Claw. I bet if you made more like it they'd walk out the door.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

Thank you gentlemen, I would like to be doing this sort of work all the time but its the commissions that bring in the cash at this stage. If I can get a good price from this one it might get me rolling. I have been trying to break into the art side of things but it takes a little while to get your name and reputaion happening. Tap, tap, tap , waiting, almost their I think.
Yes Springy don't throw anything out tut tut. It will always come in handy at some stage. The two little spars that suport the front legs were from a 3/8 steel round bar pot plant stand I picked up on the last curbside council cleanup. Even had almost the right curve in it

Hi Pete, I moved it to another bench today so I could continue putting coats of oil on and found it did walk if you pushed on it the right way. It was just like one of those plastic walking toys you used to get out of the cornflakes when you were a kid ( actually pretty cool). I took the top off and welded another couple of small round bar braces from the front legs to the back (hobbled) so now it stays where you put it
This photo looks like its on the grog, some sort of optical thingy happening.

you spoilt it by putting the new brace in place, there goes all the fun CH.
I had images of someone sitting on the table and sprung feet catapulting them off and quickly taking a few paces across the room.

Hi Wheelin, if I hadn't put the extra braces on you would have had to chase it around the room to get your drink
I actualy think I like it more now, the photo above doesn't do it justice. It now has an almost Parisien art deco feel with the steelwork under. When I was in Paris last time I tool a lot of photos of handrails, gates, fences etc maybe its been a subconscious thing. ( A lot of my work is subconscious)
