Studio Cocktail Table
Ok fancy name for an art piece coffee table.
For those of you who saw my Mango Writting Table in the art exhibition, this slab was cut from a little further up the trunk.
The Mango slab will be supported buy four legs, two are old stiletto boot lasts with flat bar legs morticed into their original sockets and riveted (old school) together. The lasts are cast iron so I thought a rivet would be something a little different. I'll clean them up but leave them visable. The back or other side legs/feet is a heel and a toe off another old three headed last. I have cut these off the main frame and attached them to an old garage door spring. The four legs will then be attached to two angle iron cross members which will be screwed to the Mango slab. So far so good. This one is lots of fun. This is not a commission just one of my fun pieces
Ok have to go to bed now, only one more sleep and I can do some more on it

Those legs look like lethal weapons, at the very least something out of Edward Scissor Hands.
Look forward to tomorrow.

Goodness me! I wouldn't have thought of it, but there's something appealing about the combination of fitting feet to table legs and recycling.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
