Threaded inserts or coach screw?
Hi all - interested in opinions on fixing a table and bench top to loop style legs and frame.
It is a heavy table top and bench seat. I am considering using m8 threaded inserts and matching hex head screw. This will create a very clean look.
The alternative is m8 coach screws. which with the head sitting proud of the surface.
Any thoughts/experiences would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

That will do fine, used to do it all the time at my old work just with these https://www.timbecon.com.au/knockdow...-bolts-cap-nut
Make sure your holes through the legs are either slots or drilled a few mm oversize to allow for timber movement, the extra large heads on those screws are ideal for larger holes.
