Hi Lig, its not too bad, being Cedar its a light timber. Two people can lift it comfortably.
Hi Pete, the little hoist was off ebay, about $80 from memory, it can lift 250kgs. I don't use it a lot but when I do use it, its very handy. I have two sons and my father close by who usualy give me a lift when I need one but when stuck on my own its great.

Maybe all Sydney Forumites should meet and make a fitting tribute of Honour Guard. You know all dressed in work clobber, Chisels Shoulder Arms, troops present Chisels.
Looks $squillion worth CH you going to make the chairs next and compete with Wongo.
Or just a bench

Hi guys, no honour lap or guarde, just a safe delivery without any bumps or scratches will do me and then a cheque at the end. I would love to make chairs to go with them but you guys know the score on them babies $$$$$$. I took note of Wongos time estimate on his chairs 30hrs each (which is about the same as I have allowed) charged at a reasonable rate of say $50/hr is $1500 without materials or any fancy bits that a lot of people want. Mass production is the only way to do them cheaper but everyone wants a different design and different timber. And if I have to make four table legs the same I start to get board so no, no chairs.

Has come up a treat CH. Well done
Was on a US website the other day where a woody was using CNC to cut all the components for a chair. Still selling them for USD1050 each. Makes it hard for a manual shop.Bob

Bob, the frontline jig is like a manual CNC in some ways. Once you have made it it would take no more than 15-20 minutes to make 16 curved back legs and they are perfect copies and would only need a light sand.
The legs below from memory took around 5 hours from rough sawn to Dominoed and they are almost identical.

Lig, had a look at their web site. Looks like a trick jig. Shame the video has no sound. A little more info would have been good. Do you know what the current price is - nothing on the site unless you make an enquiry.
