    Default Where's my bench?

    Hi all

For those of those that remember, I was building a bench.

Well, I guess this happens to a lot of people. You build a base, you get a flat top, and then you get moved on to other projects by the Minister of Finance, before you actually get the bench done.

    Oh well.

Here are some pics of a bookcase I started over 25 years ago. It was 10 years in before I finished the bookshelf proper, sans doors, when the missus said forget the doors as I can't wait another ten years.

Well, 15 years on and I've finally managed to finish off the doors. It's not a brilliant job, as my original work was not all that square, but I still like it. I must doing something about staining the newer timber a slightly darker colour - not sure what's going on there as the whole thing is jarrah.

    Here are some piccies.

Now hopefully, back to finishing the bench!
