Great work! Read through the whole thread resisting the urge to skip to the end in search of finished pics. Looking forward to the final reveal
Cheers,
Shannon.

Made some more progress and starting to see the end but still more work. Finished the top and front, now working on the two sides before I start on the legs. Top and front buffed with EEE.enjoy

Bunnies price sticker for the pine back, decided maple is just too good to waste on what you won't see.

That's really brought the figure out!
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Superbunny,
Nice work. You should take some time out to check antique furniture before you try and copy some. You will soon find they all use secondary timber, usually a pine, for all the bits you don't see. I commend you choice of pine. I also hope you are pleased with your progress with this piece.
Cheers

Well guys, it's about finished now and I know it has taken a long time but Sh_t happens. I just for the life of me could not get the two sides right with the shellac and have sanded them back twice. Then I got the Polisher's Handbook out and read it again then read it again then re-re-read it again then did what it told me to do in the first place. A steep learning curve I know but a lesson I will not forget. Also SWMBO has been in and out of hospital but we won't use that as a reason for little progress. Anyhow it will be finished very soon now. Enjoy.
