Re: WIP redgum coffee table
I am thinking of just using polyurethane and nothing else. The colour is perfect already I can't see what a stain will improve on nature.

Thanks to an old post by lignum on making buttons
https://www.woodworkforums.com/f11/ho...buttons-49571/
I have completed attachment of the table top to the frame, worked out very nicely and Lignum's method was easy and very quick too.

Re: WIP redgum coffee table
Final sanding of the top and legs next weekend and perhaps the first coat of wipe on poly as well. I have to epoxy up some holes in the top and one leg as well as I could not get a putty to match and wAnt a clear finish

If you have a coffee machine just use the spent grounds (after drying of course)
If not ask for some at your closest coffee shopregards

Finally finished!
Well after procrastinating for almost a year , and starting and finishing many other projects for my Son and the house I finally got back to this one and completed it today, including 5 coats of wipe on poly.

Well done on the completion of this one. Five coats of wipe on ploy in one day? That's incredible.
