Wood for Cabinet faces?
Hi all.
I'm tackling a kitchen reno at the end of the year, and wasn't sure about the faces.
I know how to spray cars (2pac), and am set up with it, so I wanted to make the draw fronts, and spray them a nice colour (so many to choose from, probably a sparkly whitish).
But what wood is generally used for draw faces? Just MDF? It'd be completely covered with paint, so I don't think moisture would be an issue, but I thought I should check. It's only going to be a boring flat panel, no decoration/moldings, and I wasn't quite sure.
Thanks.

Hi. Use mdf panel called White Satin. It's more expensive but it has a really good finish undercoat all over. The cabinetmakers and kitchen places always use it for doors and drawer fronts. Spray the front and sides and leave the back as it is. Good luck.

Awesome.
That's exactly the thing I was looking for!
Thanks for the help. Now I just have to use my googlefu to find somewhere that'll sell it to me.
