Tell him he's dreamin'
Hercus bed $499
Hercus tailstock $499
Hercus headstock $499
These parts are currently listed on eBay, am I missing something? There is no mention they are gold plated. That's $1500 for 3 parts of a lathe that's probably worth $500 all up.
Maybe I'm dreamin'

The same wanker has this on sale too.
Ebay # 280325372493
You can buy a brand new one and have it delivered, cheaper than his asking price.

From the Birtday boy
Hi all, look at the bed one side is dead flat and also has 3 feet to support the bed and the width of the flat is not normal unless I am geetting older and cannot see properly as my lathe is stepped at the front side of the bed this is flat and looks wider
Or am I DREAMING????
all the best Derek

They're all dreamin'
A little while back I needed a wood lathe for pattern making - ducked down to the big hardware store that rhymes with runnings - $99 BRAND NEW (GMC).
No worries, be able to pick up a second hand one to $50 or $60 off fee bay.
WRONG!!!!! The exact same model used and abused go for between $120 - $135 at auction. That particular online auction site is not what it once was.A man who thinks that it can't be done shouldn't interrupt a man who's doing it........

that guy has a Edgwick lathe i would be interested in taking a look at if it was half the price and a lathe that im guessing is a little smaller than a 12x36" for 4K its not even geared headed he looks like a dealer trying to get more than he can sell it for face to face
happy turning
