Any one chasing way felts ?????
Hi All I have purchased a lot of way felts that are attached to the front and rear of your carraige so there is 4 in a set
These felts have been professinaly made and a high quality machinery felt used
Or they are the same as what South Bend use
I am selling them on ebay at $12.60 for a set of 4
If anybody is interested I will sell them to the register members for $11.00 + postage
I will also be getting in complete felt rebuild kits that I sell for $50.00 that I can sell for $47.50+ Postage
also I have a spindle nut removing tool at$25.00 which I will sell for $22.00
Last but not least something Hercus should have done
I am getting the South Bend lathe repair Manual these are $24.50 but will sel for $22.00
This Manual is a ripper with Brilliant clarity of the pictures and explained in easy to understand how to fix your lathe
I am expecting a new supply on Wednesday of these manuals and the full rebuild kit of Felt for the model A and C
The spindle nut spanner if I have enough takers will be 7-10 days for delivery
so if interested either email me at

Hello Derek,
I could do with a couple of sets of way wipers. How much do you want for postage to Perth and how do I go about paying? Cash in an envelope, Paypal...
Regards Bob.

Hi Derek,
Am pleased to see that you are now supplying bits and pieces for the old Hercus 9" lathe. I would really be keen on obtaining the metal retainers used to keep the way felts in place, plus fixing screws. Do you have any plans to have these made in stainless steel?
I can supply a dxf file for laser cutting, if this helps. All that would be needed then is a bending fixture.
(Just between you and I, dwgs for the saddle stop are almost complete).
Ken
