I have been meaning to post this for a while now just been lazy its been sitting in bits for to long so ill post on the rebuild to. I pick this lathe up from a engine rebuild shop that buys out shops then sells the surplus. It came from an engine shop in Sydney the guy said it was in a basement as the shop had 2 stories and a split level between. The curiosity about this lathe is the cabinet is to old and short for the 260 I believe they had an older 9" workshop lathe they retired then bought the 260 without a cabinet. maybe the boss was trying to save money and thought the bolt holes were the same but they were not. The cabinet has suffered some abusive cut and shut work but it is ok for now. I found like a 3" crank bush wedged in the cabinet this lathe must have had a long life and now its all mine :D
