Ok, I came across this solution for worn teeth on a Hercus spindle: https://www.hobby-machinist.com/thre...e-gears.52779/

Looks to be the the bee's knees to me! However, here's the issue. As far as I can ascertain the spindle spur gear on my Hercus 9" has the following specifications:

Spur gear, 24 teeth 1.3" O.A. diameter, 14.5 pressure angle, 20 diametrical pitch (app 1.27 MOD). (All correct)?

And guess what no such beast seems to exist as stock

I figured just buy a gear off the shelf, bore it to size, machine the old old gear back to the good section and affix permanently, but sadly it look like it's not to be.

Anybody got any suggestions?

Anyone considering cutting some for sale as replacement items?

I don't currently have the ability to cut gears unfortunately.
