    Default belt

    Hi Greg,
    If the machine is apart anyway Use a V-belt, as you say it will probably outlive you and you can always cut it off for a link belt if you have to. I am no design engineer but believe the best way to operate a piece of machinery is in it's original design format.

    Hi Mal,

    Thanks for this advice. I have actuallly reassembled the machine with a v belt as you suggest. I got some advice from Anorak Bob some time ago that link belts are not suitable so I took his advice.
