Hello, new forum member, first post. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and have an opportunity to purchase a Hercus V300 benchtop mill. It is pre owned but in excellent condition - came from a teaching shop (seems many were purchased by schools). It has been stripped of the electronics, but I am comfortable with the work having just finished an ATC router build (shout out to Masso for a great G3 controller).

I did a search on the forum but saw no reference to a V300, so am hoping someone can give me advice on the purchase. It would be my first starter mill. I am told all hardware is original, including the high precision zero backlash ground "satellite" lead screws on all 3 axis, which are original and are made by Rollvis in Switzerland Rollvis SA . It seems like a great base to start with, but I thought I would ask if anyone here is familiar with it and whether it might be a good investment.

Thank you,

Tom
