    Default sheraton A cross slide nut

    am thinking of replaceing the brass cross slide nut in my model a 9" sheraton, anyone have a new nut for sale,please pm me with price,cheers danny.

    You can buy one from HERCUS in Adelaide ...they make them in cast iron ..better than bronze cos cast iron is harder . HERCUS have a web site ..easy to find .

    Your ACME screw will be worn in the centre ..replacing just the nut wont solve the back lash. I got a new length of the correct screw from Steve Wells in USA ..its easy to fit ..he has web site too .... he is great to deal with .
