    Default Sheraton or Hercus C model

    Hi folks i have a Sheraton c model lathe with imperial meisurements and know nothing about it would anyone in the Batemans Bay nsw area have one or a Hercus c model that i may have a look at and maybe get some info and hints

    i hope someone can help i have changed the apron to a hercus one and the feed wheel seems to have a fair bit of slap and when auto feeding you can notice a faintstall or slip in the wheel but not in the cage i wont know if its a problem until i get some cutting tools to seeif it leaves and marks in the surface of the job regards wayne

    You may find that the rack on the Sheraton dosent sit as low as the Hercus.
    If thats the case if its a concern you may have to shim/pack the rack down to engage better with the handwheel gear.
    Did you have a problem with the Sheraton Carriage.

    thanks done that today shimmed down one ml and problem would seem to be solved thankyou and i dont know if there was a problem with the sheraton one it had missing parts and i had to change the apron regards wayne
