1st attempt at a bigger puzzle....
G'day all,
Hope everyone is staying safe...
My first attempt at a bigger than 10 piece jigsaw puzzle, bit rough around the edges but I am fairly happy with it.
I used an FD-PSR #5 blade on 3mm MDF with the puzzle pattern glued to the back and the self adhesive poster on the front. Paper edges of the poster look a bit "frayed" but apart from that (and not staying on the lines all the time) it turned out ok.
Cheers,
Graeme

what made you use such a big blade #5 on 3 mm mdf you would get much less furring of the pattern with a smaller blade.

I thought the bigger blade might have allowed a bit more control when cutting. I will do another puzzle today with a #3 blade and see how that turns out.

great should be better, control shouldn't be an issue with that size MDF

Thanks for the advice. I am still getting used to using the scroll saw so there is a fair bit of trial and error. I have 10 of the star war puzzles to do so will try the FD-PSR #3 blade on the next one and then a P-MG #3 on another one.

My preference of blades are the PG ones from Helen she is a great go to for advice for unsure cutters, good luck.
