Beginners First Projects
So as a young bloke, on these forums anyways , I thought I would share my first attempts at Scrolling from 16mm MDF.
Each one took about an hour to cut.

Excellent work mate! My first jobs were nowhere near as good as that. (but I'm an old bloke! lol) The cuts are very smooth and clean. The home one looks like a Steve Good pattern?
Keep it up!!

If you like fret work, as opposed to the general run of patterns such as portraits etc, you might like to look at Pedro's site. Some of his patterns are fairly intricate, though. But for the money they are excellent. I recently done his Eiffel Tower and it is so much better than a lot of others it isn't funny.

Great job
Lawrst you did a really great job, very neat. I might post my first attempts up here too although they are not as ambitious as yours.

Nice work on those Lawrst, are you planning to paint or stain them?
Also best to be careful with the dust when cutting MDF, apparently it contains nasty stuff which can cause health issues, not that any wood dust is good to breathe in really.Brett
Only Robinson Crusoe could get everything done by Friday!

Yea MDF is meant to be nasty, I have noticed with the scroll saw the dust is very fine.
Go into the shed later and you find that everything around it is covered in a fine powder once it has settled.
They were gifts to mum (who is quite picky about her colours) so she is going to paint them.
