Hi Seyit
Lovely work. Very challenging detail and beautifully crafted. You have wonderful patience, as well as skill with the scroll saw.
Cheers

seyit,
great work, what timber did you use and how thick is it. I am looking to try some of that type of work.

info
Hi Phill,
Thanks for your interest.
I have cut this elk in walnut. If possible keep the stock(log) without shaving the bark for a couple of years.Or pick one with a bit aged and weakend wood. But again without resawing it try to well season it,otherwise it dwarfs easilly.
The ideal thickness(for me) is around 8 mm. for this sort of cuts.
What I realized during the past four years is that a good work depends on a good pattern, and a good pattern depends on a good and carefully selected picture. So I decided to make my own patterns appealing to my taste instead of using patterns from books etc.
You will find a pattern in your email. Please indicate your personal choice of animal specy, thus I might send you the pattern if I already have one.
Regards,
seyit
