    Default Excalibur speed control

Hi all, can someone give some help please, on my Excalibur scroll saw first off it is about 15 to years old has not had a lot of work.
What my problem is the switch and speed control are not operating properly I think they may have a high resistance fault from dust getting into the things.
Is the speed control a wire wound resister, would clearing it be ok with liquid Freon . Or could I get a replacement if so, were from and what would the electrical value of Pot / wire wound resistor be
    Regards colbra

It looks to be just a 240v variable resistor. I'd wager one could blast it out with compressed air. Some shellite would work too (but let it dry right out, or use a heat gun/hair dryer)

    Freon is bad.

Seyco, The Scroll Saw Specialists, INC has new ones for $37...
