Thanks everyone, but really I am the most impatient person around until it comes to scrolling and then I have all the patience in the world. Stick a cook book in my hand and I will throw it at you but give me a scroll saw and I am yours.

Oh Marge.... it's soooooo good to know I'm not the only woman feeling this way! lol
I HATE standing in the kitchen having to watch food cook..... when there are so many other, fun things I could be doing.... usually I hear the scroll saw call my name and wander off.... only to find smoke coming from the kitchen a bit later.... or I want to just... real quick.. make/print out a pattern on the computer... find an e-mail from U-Beaut site and off I go.....
Poor Ken... he's had to get used to that black spice ( charcoal! lol) I use so much! lol

When worktrainers started talking about TAFE courses he immediately piped up: send her to cooking classes! lol He doesn't realize that wouldn't help.... I know how.. just don't have the patience!

    Well done Marg.
Having done a couple of Jeff's designs I know how time consuming and at times frustrating they can be.
The end the results is well worth the effort and besides I enjoy the challenge.

Actually.... I thought some more about this.. seems I do have some patience... had my 84 year old pupil here today and we have a ball together... she's working on a fret clock! She does ok cutting, but has a bit trouble with chaning blades... part of it is my saw... needs a bit of TLC.... so while she sits and scrolls I clean up the scroll room... stop and redo the blade... clean up some more... redo the blade again... could be frustrating, but I know not to plan on any real work while she's here, so now we just laugh about it.

As for charcoal.... hmmm.... seems to recall it being used in fish tanks to keep them fresh.... might be a good thing I serve it for dinner? lol

Why can't we get any more patterns from Jeff? Did he stop selling them?

Tried to order patterns a month or so ago and never got any response from Jeff. Now I see he has some new patterns on his site. A fellow scroller wanted to buy patterns from him a while back but got no response .He phoned to order and left a message but never got a return call.Have sent Jeff a pm to see if he is open for buisness again. Will let you know when he responds.

I received an e-mail from Jeff a couple of months ago, apparently he went back to work (in the construction business) and as not been doing to much in the pattern or scrolling business for some time, but he is hopeing to get back to it just not so full on as before. He put a new free pattern on his website recently. It was one of Jeffs free patterns that first got me hooked on his work. I printed a pattern of a bird in a church yard and my father-in-law told me that I would not be able to do it because it was toooooooo complicated so I had to do it. 5 or so patterns later I still love his work. AND I proved a point.........LOL

The free pattern on Jeffs site has been there for months. My first cutting of his was called Family Time.Had never used the spiral blade , didn`t` care for them but after cutting the first one that`s all I use for his patterns.
