Hi Richard I am an electrician & I purchased mine from T.L.E an electrical wholesaler & it cost me $40 approx. Any electrical wholesaler should be able to get one for you eg Lawrence & Hanson, Power Plus etc, Cheers Peter.

Try Helen Harris, pretty sure her contact details are in a thread here somewhere.

The Aldi one for 9.99 works ok.
You'll just need to wait until they have them on special again.

If you have a older style mechanical on/off switch a foot switch available from most electrical component suppliers will work, however, if you have a reasonably new type magnetic switch(unsure of the correct name) such as on the Hegner, General/Excalibur, Carbatec, you will have to have the main switch by-passed for the foot switch to operate. I found a friendly electronics tech who did it for me.
I got my switch (a Proxxon and good quality) from Helen Harris for $60.00.Last edited by Mulgabill; 28th April 2015 at 09:07 AM. Reason: Corrections
