Hmm, not sure whats going wrong Keju. I had another look at my pdf files, and i noticed one or two have no thumbnails. Perhaps if you reinstall the latest Acrobat Reader it might solve the problem.

You could be right.... it kept telling me for a few days that there is an update... but I couldn't get anything to download because it wouldn't let me click on anything... it just froze every time that window came up... so I'm a bit reluctant to go to their site and download from there... things are working again at the moment...

Well seeing as that didn't work I'll ask number one son in the morrow, he should know. The other tip is I suppose, part of the basic training most of us missed. I happened to have a computer tech watch me fumbling one night, and showed me that trick. Some clever people come out of unis.

    Hope the gathering went well?

lol Brett.... guess better thank you again for the good converstation starter?
Buzza..... you're so right... I've picked up a lot of little hints and tricks over the years, makes my sister in laws think I'm a computer guru... and I know NOTHING about computers, only a few shortcuts ... won't open the case or do any major surgery on them!

Gotta go.... can't believe it.. it's Sunday and our very first customer just knocked on the door... sold a few things to club members before, but nobody has set foot into our little shop until now.... so I'm going to watch from the window... can't wait to hear if he bought anything .... keep your fingers crossed....

It seems the update is the way to go, and if you had problems, it's doubtful Adobe caused them. I spent many years on an ATARI before coming over, and in the ATARI days, I once did a successful internal job, and thought I was becoming a Tech.

I hope you sold a few items.

    Default Thumbnails for PDF files

By simply upgrading to Acrobat Reader 7.0 you will be able to view the content of Acrobat Reader files through a thumbnail picture on an old XP computer.

    Indeed, 'tis true .

What's this about me having an old XP computer ? You wouldn't happen to be testing the beta version of Vista, by any chance?
