'Nother thing, I have heard of people contacting GMC about the pinless blade adaptors & having them sent out direct for nix.
The only reason I mention this is that I was a little annoyed when I bought the saw (couple of years ago) and the box said the pinless adaptors were included, & as Stinky sed the manual says otherwise.
I ordered & paid for the GMC stirrup ones myself through Bunnings special orders, but still felt that the blurb on the box was false advertising.
In any case, I reckon the pinless holders that can be had from WMS in Preston, Vic; or from Timbecon are better cheapy holders than the fiddly stirrup ones. FWIW. Few more bux gets you Hegner type ones from Mik in Adelaid (oges did this).

Hi Lignum
I'd really be interested in your setup too as I don't own a scrollsaw, but the price is right if I can turn it into something quite useful!Graeme

Heres the "floating top" Self explanetry. The third pic shows some blue masking tape on the blade as its going up and down and the tub of water beside showing not even the slightest ripple at all. Zero vibration on the table. And you get the advantage of an increased surface. If you need to tilt, just slide the top of and put your normal one back on. An hour of your time and some scrap will do wonders

Drove 120km to my nearest Bunnies, and guess what? "Sorry mate, sold the last one 10 minutes ago",
Bugger it!

I'm not into scroll sawing, but that idea that Lignum got from FWW is one of those classically simple, elegant and effective solutions. Terrific!
