Homemade scroll saw
Hi there. I'm new to this site and to scrolling and was wondering if any one has made a scroll saw.
I know you can buy them fairly cheaply but I thought about making one for the enjoyment of making something from something I'd made.
Possibly out of an old sewing machine (treadle type) or something like a Pole/treadle lathe.
I've seen a few treadle types at gypsy fairs and was wondering what "expertise" is required.
The ones I've seen have a detachable blade and some of the scroll work was really good.
Any help appreciated

I made 1 some time ago the plans came from wildwood designs in the US.
Was made from ply and it has pedals like a pushbike. Fun to make and use and no electricity needed just good leg muscles
I still have it stored away somewhere in the old shed ...
