    Default Something more intricate....

    G'day all,

I thought I would try something a little more detailed today.....

6mm ply, FDSR #3 blade, lots of patience and a few swearwords. Cradle is around 150mm long, 120ish high and 80ish deep. Many thanks to Helen Harris for putting me onto a much better pinless blade holder for my little ryobi scrollsaw.

Any thoughts on how I should finish this - paint, stain, clear coat, leave as is......

    Cheers, Graeme

That's a lot of cutting there and a very fancy result. Is it 2 layers of 6mm laminated together?
I think painted white would make it look like an authentic cradle but that's just my opinion.

Definitely a fair bit of cutting Just 6mm marine ply, not 2 layers of 6mm stuck together. I was thinking of painting it white but looking for suggestions. I am very very new to scrolling and woodworking in general and any advice/suggestions as to finishing items will be much appreciated.

    Very nice Graeme!

I would go with predominately white overall - but maybe add a little colour detailing to the image on the inside bedhead?
