Lucets
I was about to post this in woodwork general but as I had use the Scrollsaw (first time in months) I thought I'd post over here. This time of year its a good workout for finger and hands trying to keep them nimble as much as I can.
LOML had a request for some Luctes to be made 6 or so some 30+ were made, not all made the finish as a variety of thickness, shapes and sizes were needed. Orientation of grain while with some timbers works running the length others will not last, if done the other way the prong area become to week.
I needed to clear out some scrap off cuts just right for the job. timbers are.
River gum, Camphor, Jacaranda, WR-Cedar, Sequiar, NSW Rosewood, Puprle Heart, Native Olive, Bottle Brush, Huon and Silky Oak. Some Do finish the rest WoP.
This was a shared job as Sue did final shape and sand and finish.
