New Multiwood Bowl
Here is my new bowl made from 19mm Poplar Plywood, 3 mm Padauk and 9.5mm Pine. The bowl was cut on a 29 degree left side down for each ring and then sanded. The bowl was sealed with Tung Oil.

If you get the angle right they fit pretty good and you have only a little sanding to smooth between the rings. I have a foam backed sander that I use and that cuts down drastically on the hand sanding. With a bit of practice and a bit of imagination you can make some really wonderful bowls, vases and boxes using this technique.

Hi,
There is a very good book which deals with these types of bowls
"Wooden Bowls from the Scrollsaw", by Carole Rothman. I first saw it at my local library.
