    What blade did you use for your Grandpa's Puzzle?

    Ken, I tried several blades on those having different results in different woods. I found that the softer woods worked the best (I used butternut with aspen) when cutting that thick so you can get the puzzle apart and back together. The three blades that did the best job on them were a FD #7 polar blade. Pegas #7 doubletooth blade.....and the very best for cutting them was the Supersharp blades from PS Woods....I used a #7 of that type also. The SuperSharps are very $$ blades and I only use them for compound type cutting. Even with those blades...I had issues when I tried to cut 1.75" cherry.......Those blades do their best in 1.5" wood if you are cutting really hard wood. Stick to the softer woods with the "Wonder Puzzles" and you will have better luck with them.
