Rose Box
First try at doing this so forgiveness please when I inevitable make a mess of inserting the pictures but this is a box I recently completed as a 21st birthday present for a good friend in those seemingly few hours of my life that are not consumed by university studies or work.
The box was made on the scroll saw except for the shaping, is made out of Brazilian Walnut and finished with Shellawax rubbed on by hand.

The design was sourced from the book Creating Wooden Boxes on the Scroll Saw, and is the work of Robert Ardizzoni

Well done Charlie. Did you make the pattern or did it come from somewhere else. I have a big weakness for scroll sawn boxes and have made quite a few since doing scroll work. It just seems to me to open doors for many designs and also making something that is usefull
If you are looking for a bit of a challenge the book called Fresh Designs for woodworking by Thomas Haapauro has a few boxes as well as other things
Good on you
John

I got the pattern out of the book Creating Wooden Boxes on the Scroll Saw.
I rather enjoy the scroll saw because it suits my work habits quite well. I have a relatively small work space and because a lot of the time my studies prevent me getting out to the shed until late it being so quiet is a huge plus.
Regards Jack
