I have tried the search and didn't get the answer ( maybe I am crapola on using the search) but I am looking to get SWMBO a scroll saw and would like input on what to get.. From what I can tell pinless and variable speed are good options are there any good scroll sawa under 200 that have both features?

Pinless is the only way to go, variable speed is much better than single speed.
    Cheap scrollsaws vibrate.
Pay the extra and buy a decent saw.
The Delta DE 40-540 mentioned above is an excellent scrollsaw, you will not be disappointed if you buy this one.

Growing old is much better than the alternative!

The GMC variable speed is not too bad for $129.00, Shifty LInk and Mitre 10 had them for that price.
I bought one for teaching and I think it's OK, not up to my 788 but thats in a completely different league.
Pinless, blower, light, tilting table, a bit of vibration but not as bad as I expected.
